Lowney Associates was retained by Irvine Apartment Communities (IAC) to provide geotechnical services for the construction of one of California's largest apartment complexes. Approximately 2,700 units in high-density, four-story structures over one level of partially subterranean parking are planned at the 60-acre site. IAC is using multiple several architecture firms,, including Fisher Friedman Associates, Backen Arrigoni & Ross, ROMA Design Group, McLarand, Vasquez, Emsiek & Partners, and Thomas P. Cox Architects to design the buildings of the project with various styles. Lowney continues to support the development's evolving plans with on-call geotechnical services. Lowney also is providing observation services during construction.
