As part of a multi-discipline team led by Schaaf & Wheeler Consulting Civil Engineers, Lowney Associates provided geotechnical and environmental services for the remediation of the Santa Clara Valley Water District's Matadero Creek in Palo Alto. The project consisted of channel modifications to provide increased flood protection. Improvements included raising the floodwalls, constructing a U-frame section channel with a depressed fish passage, and bridge modifications to a crossing of Matadero Creek. Additionally, provided consultation services for areas downstream of Highway 101.
