Lowney Associates provided environmental services for the redevelopment of
a 4.3-acre city block in Emeryville, California. The planned development will
consist of 105 townhouses and approximately 30,000 square feet of retail space.
Environmental issues Lowney Associates faced at the site included the residual
contamination associated with past industrial activities. We evaluated the
extent of contamination and the risks posed to human health. Through careful
scientific analyses, Lowney Associates prepared a site development strategy
to minimize delays in construction as a result of the residual contaminants
present. The developer is Park Emery Associates, LLP.
