The Santa Clara Valley Water District retained Lowney Associates to evaluate
the hydraulic properties of the water-yielding sediments penetrated by several
deep water supply wells in the Santa Clara Valley. The District is considering
purchasing the property for water production and retained Lowney Associates
due to our experience with hydrogeological investigations. We conducted pumping
tests in a 1,045-foot-deep water supply well, while monitoring water levels
in two adjacent wells, which were approximately 700 and 1000 feet deep, respectively.
