Lowney Associates performed a geotechnical investigation for construction of five- and eight-story office buildings and a four-level parking structure totaling approximately 200,000 square feet across an approximately 25-acre site. Detailed analyses for foundation settlement and vertical pile capacities were performed. A qualitative evaluation of geologic hazards, such as fault rupture, ground shaking, liquefaction, differential compaction and lateral spreading also was performed. Seismic design criteria was provided for use in structural design. The architect was McLarand, Vasquez & Partners, Inc.
