Lowney Associates performed ground water characterization, cleanup and monitoring of an EPA Superfund site at 2986 and 3000 Oakmead Village Court, Santa Clara, California. Ground water beneath the approximately one-acre light industrial site is impacted with solvents, such as trichloroethene (TCE). Ground water cleanup was initiated on-site in 1991 and by 1995 solvent concentrations had sufficiently stabilized that the Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) approved the discontinuation of the cleanup program, one of the first such approvals in California. Ground water monitoring is ongoing.
