Moffet Park Development

Lowney Associates provided geotechnical services for a Moffett Park development by Jay Paul Company in Sunnyvale. The development consists of the construction of four 4-story steel-framed office buildings, each containing approximately 160,000 square feet. Additional improvements on-site included a reinforced concrete two-level parking structure. Lowney Associates used conventional borings and CPT probes to provide information on the subsurface soil and ground water conditions. The buildings are adjacent to and within the footprint of the former Lockheed-Martin Building 104, which was demolished; the building materials were recycled on-site. Concrete from Building 104 was crushed and recycled as shown above.
