We have opening for individuals with a high school diploma or general education degree (GED). We prefer candidates that have taken some college classes in science or engineering, or have construction field experience. You need to have strong written, verbal and computer skills, a good driving record and be able to carry 50 lbs. on a consistent basis. You should also be detail oriented, able to prioritize and possess a high degree of self-motivation. Responsibilities Include:
- Observing, testing and documenting placement and compaction of soil and rock materials at construction sites.
- Using a nuclear moisture-density gauge to test compaction of fill material and a laptop computer to prepare daily field reports to document your observations and test results.
- Performing laboratory tests to supplement your field testing.
